My name is Wing, and I’m so excited you’re here!

Let me introduce myself and share why I started this newsletter—and why I think it’ll be worth your time!

Who I Am

I’ve been based in the SF Bay Area since 2008 (grew up in NYC).

For most of my career, I did everything “right.”

I’ve always been an employee. I spent the last 10 years as a product and growth marketer in the tech startup space. I even climbed the ladder to VP level.

But when I got there, I couldn’t help but asked myself:

“Is this it?”

Then during the pandemic, I (like many others) was wrestling with the question of

“What is my purpose?”

So I started A Work In Purpose podcast, to explore how others discovered and stepped into their purpose.

I learned so much from those conversations, including my purpose.

But I didn’t take action on my own purpose—until life pushed me to.

In 2023, I got laid off.

I job searched fruitlessly for over a year until one of my podcast guests made me realize something.

This was my opportunity to finally step into my “BIG P” Purpose:

To help people like you reach your full potential.

But here’s the thing.

I can’t help others thrive in their full potential if I’m not doing the same for myself.

Purpose of This Newsletter

So that is why I’m starting this newsletter:

• To document my messy journey of becoming a Multi-Purpose Solopreneur (more in a future email)
  

• To help you thrive on your own solopreneur journey

Every ~2 weeks, you’ll get:

Learn what’s working for me (or not) as I build my solo business so you can avoid the same mistakes.

A transparent breakdown of my revenue streams and my goal to earn $10K/month by the end of 2025.

From my podcast interviews to books I’m reading, I’ll share actionable advice that’ll help you step out of your comfort zone and into your growth zone (both professionally and personally).

Why Me? Why Now?

We often hear from solopreneurs who’ve already made it—those earning $100K+ per month with massive followings.

It’s all very inspiring. But when you’re just starting out, it feels unattainable. Unrealistic.

And to be honest, a lot of it sounds too good to be true.

So that’s where I come in.

I’m not there (yet) 🙂.

I’m in the messy middle right now.

I’m at step 3, if this journey were a 10-step process:

1. Done the inner work to shift from “that can’t be me” to “I’m doing it.”

2. Built the foundation:

   • Launched my website, personal branding contents, and initial offerings.

3. Starting to see early results (and some revenue).

And now it’s time to turn this into a sustainable solopreneur business!

Since I’ve spent my entire career as an employee, shifting into the mindset of a solo business owner is completely new to me:

• Asking for business

• Making my offerings known

• Growing clients

• Figuring out what actually moves the needle (and what are shiny objects)

I’m learning it all in real-time.
